FAQ - General Information
This FAQ provides answers to frequently asked questions about the features of the EvaExam platform. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please write to lehrservice@leuphana.de.
EvaExam can be used to conduct online exercises, e-exams, and paper-based exams. The online exercises serve to monitor learning progress during the semester. E-exams allow exams to be conducted digitally. (Please note that computer-based exams are to be conducted on site at Leuphana. Permission must be requested to take a remote exam from home. See RPO §7 (3).) Paper exams can be easily created online, printed out, scanned back in after completion, and in some cases automatically graded online.
In an e-exam, the exam paper created online is also filled out digitally, while in a scan exam, the exam paper is created online but filled out on paper in person. With both variants, the completed sheets can be graded online semi-automatically. You can create an exam sheet and only decide when setting up the exam whether the sheet should be used in an e-exam or a regular exam, which offers particular flexibility.
In a scan exam, the exam paper is created online and then printed out, with each exam paper having its own unique identifier. The examinees fill out the papers as they would in a traditional exam, and the examiners then scan the papers using the scanning station in C7.117. The exam papers can now be graded automatically or manually in the EvaExam system, depending on the type of questions.
